These eight comics have been pulled for this offer because I feel some sort of kinship between them and Nix Comics. That's to say I'm pretty sure that if you like the rock 'n' roll record store themes I explore, you'll love these!
Comical Funnies #1: Hung together mostly by Punk magazine's Johm Holmstrom with cartoonists Peter Bagge, Bruce Carleton, and others. The Ramones cover alone would be worth the price of admission! (This is one of several copies I bought direct from Peter Bagge for resell at my old shop. If you ask nice, I might have some extra copies.)
Ogner Stump: Written and drawn by Andrew Garbfarb, aka the Slow Poisoner. You may know Andrew as the publisher of Freaky magazine! These collected strips feature Ogner's journeys through surreal lanscapes full of lumpy toothy eyeball monsters. If you don't have any records by Andrew's alter-ego, the Slow Posioner, you should rectify that! (And again, if you ask nicely, I can probably help!)
Loud Comix #1-4: The brainchild of cartoonists and musician Jamie Vayda. All four issues feature stories told to Jamie by other musicians and music enthusiasts. (So kind of a reversal of people looking for an artist for their graphic novel, Jamie is an artist who went looking for stories to draw!) I believe Jamie has kind of dropped out of the comics scene, focusing on his tattooist and music careers.
Power Profiles #1-2: I don't know much about artist/cartoonist Klon W.. We've met "on-line" and follow each pther on facebook and insta. I do know that I L-U-V love this series of illustrated mini-bios which feature rock muscians, cartoonists, and other assorted weirdos!
